Personal Profile

Bill Rush, is founder and owner of Rush Technologies, Inc.  Bill started Rush Technologies in 1998 with the purpose of providing practical and focused Information Technology solutions to small businesses.  His passion for helping clients use information technology more effectively is evident in his initial needs assessment through to the recommendations he makes emphasizing best-fit and financial return for the client.

Bill's technology and engineering background and experience has been developed through a variety of significant project leadership roles with Outboard Marine Corporation and General Motors.  His talents have been recognized often.  Bill received the OMC Chairman's award, was designated the "Center of Expertise" while serving as a Project Engineer Leader at GM, and recognized by the International Magnesium Association for "Design of the Year."  Bill has 15 US patents in his name.

Bill holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute.

Personal Interests

When not consumed with solving developing IT solutions issues for his clients, Bill pursues his interests in cars, aviation, science and cooking and is active in St. Patrick's parish in Wadsworth, IL..  Bill was one of 10 people that co-founded and designed the GM Cadillac Northstar V8 engine project, and he holds a Single Engine Land private pilots license (checked out in PA-28's, Cessnea 150 & 172's).  Bill's interest in cars frequently takes the form of "spirited" drives in his autocross car on weekends.
